Never Lose Hope! It is never too late to achieve your dreams!!!

The son of Barrister Aremu Olugbenga Oladejo
shared this amazing story about his Dad:

"Today is one of those days that you look Wback and just have to glorify God. It has been a very interesting journey.
My dad has always been known to be brilliant. He always wanted to be a lawyer but life happened and he sacrificed his education for others.

He then went on to achieve a Masters Degree via a very long and winding route. Our family also went through periods of lack when people my family helped in the past ridiculed us. But something I learned from my dad is never to lose hope or become too anxious. Through it all, we maintained our dignity.

My parents are not perfect, none of us are. But they understood the importance of dignity and education. This is why today, we can stand as a family without owing anyone but God.

Growing up with parents that are teachers and badly paid was tough. It became even tougher when mom stopped working. Some people could not even stand people with such poor paying jobs lol. I used to think a lot those days about my father's decision to be a teacher.

When my dad decided he wanted to go back and study Law at Ife, I was against it because I thought it was too long and stressful. I advised him to do a PhD instead. I have Prof Akindele Richard Iyiola to thank for talking to me that day in Johannesburg.

He went on to finish the law degree and with a decent grade at Ife. Got law school admission and today I had no choice but to fly down to attend his call to bar ceremony. There are a few lessons I have learned from the man.
1. Never lose hope.
2. It is never too late to achieve your dreams and goals but pursue it.
3. Someone that took a police job after high school to help others still went on to have a basketful of academic degrees.
4. When you have setbacks, don't lose your health over it as you will regret it when you resolve the problem. Enjoy and learn from the journey.

I want to thank my mum for being a pillar of support through it all. She is the superstar in this journey.

And so this is to Barrister Aremu Olugbenga Oladejo, BL, LLB(Ife), M.Ed, B.Ed (Ibadan), NCE, ACE, Grade 2 TC.
May God give you good health and opportunities to enjoy the fruits of your labor. We are very proud of your tenacity and achievements."
