CONSTITUENTS SUBMIT SIGNATURES TO Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria FOR RECALL OF SEN. DINO MELAYE
Constituents of Kogi West senatorial district of Kogi state of Nigeria on
Wednesday submitted a collection of signatures to the headquarters of
the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja for the
recall of their representative in the Nigerian Senate, Senator Dino
Melaye.
Two of the youth leaders who were part of the delegation addressed Journalists outside the INEC headquarters in Maitama area of Abuja where they claimed they had submitted all their details for the recall of the senator to the electoral commission.
"There has been a major gap between the senator and people of Kogi west senatorial district. Kogi west people have had to bear with this for two years but it is time to say NO", said one of the leaders of the delegation.
INEC is yet to confirm receipt of the documents as officials are yet to comment on the matter saying they would soon issue a formal statement.
